ประเทศไทย 4.0 กับความพร้อมอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ในอาเซียน

ประเทศไทยได้กำหนดยุทธศาสตร์ที่จะมุ่งสู่ Thailand 4.0 ความพร้อมหนึ่งที่จะทำให้บรรลุเป้าหมายของยุทธศาสตร์นี้คือ ความพร้อมอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (Electronic Readiness: E-Readiness) งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินความพร้อมอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ในระดับประเทศของประเทศไทยเปรียบเทียบกับประเทศในกลุ่มอาเซียน ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่า ประเทศไทยถูกจัดอันดับความพร้อมด้านการพัฒนารัฐบาลอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (Electronic Government Development Index: EGDI) และดัชนีการพัฒนาด้านเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารและสารสนเทศ (ICT Development Index: IDI) อยู่ในอันดับที่ต่ำกว่าประเทศสิงคโปร์ มาเลเซีย และบูรไน สำหรับดัชนีความสามารถในการแข่งขันระดับโลกด้านดิจิทัล ประเทศไทยถูกประเมินดัชนีที่ต่ำกว่าประเทศสิงคโปร์และมาเลเซีย ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่า ประเทศไทยจะต้องปิดจุดอ่อนด้านการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร การพัฒนาคุณภาพด้านการบริการออนไลน์และด้านบุคลากรที่เชี่ยวชาญด้านดิจิทัล นอกจากนี้ การสนับสนุนจากภาครัฐและภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ เพื่อให้มีการใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารให้เกิดคุณค่าที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของประเทศไทยเช่นเดียวกับของประเทศสิงคโปร์
