A Comparison of Self-Help Skills in Early Childhood Before and After Using the “Getting Ready with Self-Help Skills Activity Set”

Abstract

A Comparison of Self-Help Skills in Early Childhood Before and After Using the "Getting Ready with Self-Help Skills" Activity Set. The purposes of this research were to compare the self-help skills of kindergarten 1/2 students at Anuban Surat Thani School before and after using the "Getting Ready with Self-Help Skills" activity set. The target group consisted of 28 early childhood children, aged 3-4 years, enrolled in the second semester of the 2024 academic year at Anuban Surat Thani School. The research instruments included: 1) twelve lesson plans using the "Getting Ready with Self-Help Skills" activities, and 2) a self-help skill assessment form. The data were analyzed using mean and percentage. The research findings revealed that after the children participated in the development of self-help skills through the "Getting Ready with Self-Help Skills" activity set, their self-help skills were significantly higher than those before the activities at the .01 level of statistical significance.
