FACTORS AFFECTING ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE PATHUM THANI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the levels of factors affecting academic administration in schools; 2) to examine the levels of academic administration in schools; 3) to investigate the relationship between factors affecting academic administration and academic administration in schools; and 4) to identify the factors affecting academic administration in schools. The sample consisted of school administrators and teachers in schools. The sample size was determined using Yamane’s formula, yielding a total of 334 respondents. Stratified random sampling and simple random sampling techniques were employed. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product–moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research findings revealed that: (1) overall opinions regarding the factors affecting academic administration in schools were at a high level; (2) overall opinions regarding academic administration in schools were also at a high level; and (3) the relationship between the factors affecting academic administration and academic administration in schools was high, with a statistically significant correlation at the .01 level (r = .975). (4) The factors affecting academic administration in schools consisted of educational media and technology(X6;=.171), school facilities (X5;= .204), school administrators (X1;=.197), parents and community involvement (X3;= .186), teachers (X2; = .134), and budget (X4;=.149). Adjusted R2 =.9506 F =1048.877 Sig =.000. All six factors were able to predict academic administration in schools, accounting for 95.06% of the variance. Consequently, predictive equations for academic administration were developed in both raw-score and standardized-score forms.
