The development model for the Excellence in Sports of Sports School Under Rio-Et Provincial Administrative Organization

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the current condition and desirable conditions for sports excellence development of sports schools of Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization 2) to develop and examine a model 3) to use a model and

4) to evaluate a model

The research was divided into 4 phases. Phase 1, studying the current condition and desirable conditions for the development of sports excellence in sports schools. The sample group comprised of 152 school administrators and teachers and education personnel, selected by using the Stratified Random Sampling method. Phase 2, developing and examining the model by studying “Best Practices” from 2 schools then, using the research data from phase 1 and 2, create a model along with a user manual. Phase 3, using this model and Phase 4, evaluating the model by reviewing data collected both before and after using the model and finally, determining the satisfaction level of the model. The research tools were a) questionnaires b) feasibility and feasibility assessment forms c) evaluation forms and d) satisfaction forms. The statistics used to analyze the data were Mean and Standard Deviation.

The results of the research were as follows:

1. The overall of the current condition was at a moderate level and the overall of the desirable conditions were at the highest level.


2. “SUCHAYA Model” was determined to provide the most appropriate level and the highest level of overall of probability.


3. The steps of using the model was PDCA cycles as followed: 1) Planning state (Plan) 2) Doing stage (Do), 3) Checking stage (Check) and 4) Acting stage (Act).


4. The evaluations of the development model for the excellence in sports of sports schools under Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization Sports School were:

                   4.1 Overall, after the model was used, the level was higher than before it was applied. Before it was applied, it was at a moderate level and it was higher after application.

                   4.2 Overall, the satisfaction level was at the highest level.
