A development of sustainable tourism program Non Thong Subdistrict, Kasetsomboon District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract
A study for sustainable development of ecotourism of Nonthong sub-district, Kasetsomboon district, Chaiyaphum province purposed to 1) study the context and potential of tourist attractions and 2) suggest a conservation tourism program of Nonthong sub-district, Kasetsomboon district, Chaiyaphum. The target group consisted of local people, government officials, entrepreneurial groups, and tourists.
The results were as follows:
- Physical characteristics of NonThong Sub-district, Kaset Sombun District, Chaiyaphum Province.Its area is approximately 116 square kilometers or about 72,500 Rais. The North borders on Phon Ngam and Ban Pao, the South borders on Ban Yang, the East borders on Kut Lao, the West borders on Nong Waeng, and Nong Bua Daeng sub-district, Nong Bua Daeng province. Its physical feature consists mainly of forests and mountains, hillside lowlands (19.60 percent), the central part of the district is a basin plain, with forested areas and mountain ranges lined from the North. The crucial mountains are Phunok Saeo, Phupak Kha, and Phu Khiao.
- The potential of nonthong tourist attractions has its distinctiveness or characteristics of Nam Prom water, has a natural, beautiful scenery. Rafting, boating, grapefruit groves, rafting and sustainable tourism are also renowned for their sweetness and taste of pomelo.
- Travel program of Non Thong Sub-district, Kaset Sombun District, Chaiyaphum Province consisted of 4 programs: 1) The first program (1 day) model 1: Nam Prom water rafting; Model 2: rowing boat seeing Banbungsibsi pomelo garden and model 3: Tadsai water rafting; 2) The second program (1 day: 1 night) Nam Prom water rafting and rowing boat seeing Banbungsibsi pomelo garden. 3) The third program (1 day: 1 night) rowing boat seeing pomelo garden at Banbungsibsi and Tadsai water rafting. 4) The fourth program (2 days: 1 night) Nam Prom water rafting; rowing boat seeing Banbungsibsi pomelo garden and Tadsai water rafting.
