The Development of English Learning Activities Using KWL Plus Technique on the Special Day Unit to Promote Analytical Thinking of Mathayomsuksa 1 Students

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to 1) develop an English lesson plan by using KWL Plus technique on Special Day unit to promote analytical thinking. of Mathayomsuksa 1 students to be effective according to the criteria 75/75.2) compare Mathayom Suksa 1 students’ learning achievement on the Special Day unit obtained before and after class by using KWL Plus technique. 3) compare Mathayomsuksa 1students’ analytical thinking ability obtained before and after class by using KWL Plus technique. The sample were 17 students who were studying in the second semester of 2020 academic year at Ruamrat Wittayanukul School.The research instruments consisted of 1) a learning lesson plan based on KWL-Plus, 2) a Learning achievement test. 3) analytical thinking measurement form. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test (Dependent Samples).
The study revealed the following results:
- An English lesson plan by using KWL Plus technique on Special Day unit to promote analytical thinking of Mathayomsuksa 1 students contained their efficiency of 76.40/75.88 which was an established criteria 75/75.
- Mathayom Suksa 1 students’ learning achievement on Special Day who studied by using KWL Plus technique on Special Day unit was statistically higher than that of before at .05 level of significance.
- Mathayomsuksa 1 students’ analytical thinking ability of who studied by using KWL Plus technique on Special Day unit was statistically higher than that of before at .05 level of significance.
