The Development of Chinese Pronunciation Using Hunter's Learning Activities Model with Flash card and Exercises for Mathayomsuksa 4 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research aim to achieve the following objectives: 1) To examine and compare the development of Chinese pronunciation before and after using Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises. 2) To investigate the satisfaction level of Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises. The research population consisted of 505 fourth-year high school students from 14 classrooms at Wattanothaipayap School during the first semester of the academic year 2022. The research utilized the following tools: 1) Hunter's Learning Activities Model, 2) consonant and vowel flash card, 3) exercises, 4) pre- and post-learning assessments, and 5) satisfaction surveys. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The research findings found that: 1) The learning effectiveness in the development of Chinese pronunciation using Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises, for fourth-year students at Watthanothaipayap School, increased from before (M=6.38, SD=4.89) to after (M=19.83, SD=2.20) the learning sessions. 2) Results of satisfaction with the development of Chinese pronunciation using Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises. For Mathayom 4/11 students at Wattanothaipayap School. Overall, at a high level (M=4.05, SD=0.76)

In conclusion, the learning effectiveness in the development of Chinese pronunciation using Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises, for fourth-year students at Watthanothaipayap School increased significantly after the learning sessions. The average post-learning scores exceeded pre-learning scores by more than 70%, and overall satisfaction with the development of Chinese pronunciation using Hunter's Learning Activities Model, incorporating flash card and exercises was at a high level.
