Journal of Dhamma Sana

This journal aims to promote and disseminate knowledge related to Buddhism from various perspectives through research articles and academic papers contributed by scholars both domestically and internationally, including monks, researchers, academics, and graduate students. It provides a platform for exchanging knowledge on Buddhism within diverse contexts and available for publishing in both Thai and English.

Scope of the Journal

1. Buddhism and Ancient Scriptures
- Translation and analysis of Buddhist scriptures
- The relevance of ancient Buddhist texts to contemporary society and culture

2. Buddhism and Philosophy
- Theoretical and practical aspects of Buddhist philosophy
- Comparative studies between Buddhist philosophy and Western or Eastern philosophical traditions
- Buddhism, ethics, and morality

3. Buddhism, Arts, Culture, and Local Literature
- Buddhist art and architecture
- The role of Buddhism in local and Buddhist literature
- The preservation and development of Buddhist-related cultural heritage

4. Buddhist Preaching and Dissemination
- The role of Buddhist preachers, missionaries, and monastic leaders in propagating Buddhism
- Modern approaches to Buddhist dissemination in the digital era
- The application of Buddhist principles in contemporary society

5. Buddhism and Other Disciplines
- Interdisciplinary studies connecting Buddhism with fields such as psychology, education, sociology and environmental studies
- The integration of Buddhist principles in scientific and technological advancements
- The relevance of Buddhist teachings in addressing contemporary global challenges

This journal aims to serve as an inclusive academic platform for scholars interested in Buddhist studies and related disciplines. It is committed to publishing high-quality research that contributes to the advancement of Buddhist academic discourse.

Objectives

1. To encourage and distribute research and academic publications in the areas of Buddhism and philosophy, Buddhism and ancient texts, and Buddhism and regional literature, art, and culture by Buddhist monks, Buddhist preachers, missionary monks, researchers, academics, lecturers, and graduate students.
2. To make research articles, scholarly articles, and book reviews available for publishing in both Thai and English.

Peer Review Process

Articles published in the journal have been reviewed by at least two qualified experts who are experts in the field and have no conflict of interest with the authors in a double-blind peer-reviewed manner. Articles from internal authors will be reviewed by qualified experts outside the organization that publishes the journal, while articles from external organizations will be reviewed by qualified experts inside or outside the organization that publishes the journal. Articles submitted for publication in the Journal Dhamma Sana must not have been published or are under review by qualified experts for publication in other journals. Authors must strictly comply with the criteria and requirements for submitting articles of the Dhammasarn Journal, including the reference system that must be in accordance with the criteria set by the journal. The views, opinions, or conclusions that appear in articles are the responsibility of the Journal Dhamma Sana. This is not considered the view or responsibility of the editorial board of the Journal Dhamma Sana.
