The Approaches of Public Administration in the 5G Era

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are to study the administration of the public sector in Thailand in the past, the impact on public administration from 5G technology and to find the approaches of public administration in the 5 G era. This research article is qualitative research was documentary research from textbooks, research papers, academic articles and then providing conclusions.          

The research results show that the public administration in Thailand in the past is a chain of command and bureaucracy then it was developed into the New Public Management (NPM) that focuses on results, standards, transparency, verifiability and responds to the needs of the people. The impact on government administration from 5G technology is both positive and negative. The approaches of public administration in the 5 G era are law improvements, increasing the government budget for information technology, add an agency that checks the security of electronic transactions, public relations for government operations, taking into account the correctness and referring to the law, internet network improvement interaction with the public, the use of large database systems (Big Data), online government services and modification of public administration strategies.
