Conceptual Framework of Academic Leadership and Innovation: Overcoming Failure to Build Upon Success for the Development of Thai Education

This academic article entitled Academic and Innovative Leadership Concepts aims to synthesize and explain an overview of Thai education over the past period by presenting three key components. The first component addresses the major challenges of Thai education as structural problems, including educational inequality, inconsistent learning quality, and policy discontinuity, alongside reflections on significant achievements such as the expansion of educational opportunities, teacher professional development, and the integration of innovation and technology into teaching and learning practices. The second component explains the role of academic and innovative leadership concepts as crucial mechanisms linking policy, administration, and instructional practices, with a focus on enhancing educational quality, reducing inequality, and promoting creative change within educational institutions. The third component presents the integrated application of three research approaches—quantitative research, qualitative research, and mixed methods research—to generate both empirical and in-depth understanding, leading to effective, efficient, and sustainable solutions for addressing problems and further advancing the success of Thai education.
