ROLES OF SPACE AND GEO-INFORMATICS TECHNOLOGY IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

This article aims to raise applications on space and geo-informatics technology, which are advanced innovation, adapted for public administrationin terms of area-based management. This technology encourages a beneficial influence on the economy, society, environment, social disparity as well as effective public resource management. In other words, government agencies have allocated a lot of budgets and time dedicated to field surveys, data collection from reliable sources, analysis, and synthesis ofproblem statement to policy implementation. Space and geoinformatics technology with accessible area-based information play crucial roles in supporting government agencies to analyze, evaluate, and predictsituations clearly, conveniently, quickly, accurately and economically. Hence, an awareness ofthe technology can be a key factor towards a national ambitious strategy, Thailand 4.0.
