Abstract

This academic article aims to explore in detail the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in human resource management (HRM). The methodology employed is a non-systematic literature review, focusing on relevant literature concerning the use of AI in HRM. The reviewed literature includes (1) the definition of artificial intelligence, (2) the benefits of using AI in human resource management, (3) the types of AI used in HRM, (4) the application of AI in HRM, and (5) the challenges of using AI in HRM. Based on the reviewed literature, the findings were synthesized into new knowledge, presented as a process and set of steps for implementing AI in HRM. This process comprises five steps: (1) studying and gaining a clear understanding of artificial intelligence, (2) considering the benefits of using AI in HRM, (3) studying and understanding the types of AI applicable to HRM, (4) selecting the appropriate type of AI and applying it to the relevant HRM areas, and (5) taking into account the challenges and problems that may arise during implementation and addressing or preventing them accordingly. These steps ultimately lead to more effective and efficient human resource management.
