Performance Achievement on Good Governance Principle in Khao Rup Chang Town Municipality, Songkhla Province

Abstract

This research is quantitative research to study the achievement performance on good governance principles in Khao Rup Chang Town Municipality, Mueang Songkhla District, Songkhla Province and compare the performance achievements in accordance with the principles of good governance of Khao Rup Chang Municipality classified by gender, age, status, education level, and occupation. The research used 400 service users from Khao Rup Chang Town Municipality as the sample group. A questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data, and the descriptive statistics used consisted of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that the majority of service users were female rather than male, under the age of 21, single, had a bachelor's degree or higher, were students, and were employees of companies and private businesses. The overall performance of Khao Rup Chang Municipality in accordance with the principles of good governance was at a good level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the rule of law had the highest average value, followed by value for money, sense of responsibility, morality, participation, and transparency. In addition, the results of the hypothesis testing found that people with different ages and education levels had different performance achievements according to the principles of good governance of Khao Rup Chang Municipality at a significant level of 0.05. However, people with different genders and status had no different performance achievements according to the principles of good governance of Khao Rup Chang Municipality.
