The Role of Local Government Organizations in Improving the Quality of Life of the Elderly Case study of Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chon Daen District, Phetchabun Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the role of local government organizations in improving the quality of life of the elderly. 2) to study problems and obstacles in carrying out the role of local government organizations in improving the quality of life of the elderly. 3) to study recommendations for guidelines for implementing the role of local government organizations in developing the quality of life of the elderly. Case study of Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chon Daen District, Phetchabun Province. This research was based on documents and from 5 the officials of Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization and 15 elderly, totaling 20 peoples by selecting a specific sample. The research instruments were interviewed, Data were Content analysis and analyzed descriptively.

          The research found that 1) Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization plays a role in improving the quality of life of the elderly in terms of health, social relationships, environment arrangement and welfare. 2) Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization encountered problems, obstacles in developing the quality of life of the elderly in terms of insufficient budget. Insufficient personnel and unclear communication. 3) Suggestions for implementing the role of improving the quality of life of the elderly of the Dong Khui Subdistrict Administrative Organization is that the budget and personnel should be allocated adequately, including the development of clear communication channels.
