Research Ethics: Practicing Reciprocity by Providing Compensation to Participants in Qualitative Research

This academic paper aims to present the concepts and principles of research ethics and reciprocity by providing compensation to research participants. A literature review was conducted and data extraction was performed and used as a basis for writing up this paper. The scope of the content of this paper consists of the concepts of qualitative research, the principles of research ethics, the concepts of reciprocity, and provision for providing compensation to research participants. The process and steps in determining and payment of compensation to research participants were presented as findings of this study.
