M-Flow Crisis Communication

M-Flow is Thailand's first barrier-free automatic toll collection system (Multi-Lane Free Flow), which is considered a significant technological change for the transportation sector in Thailand. Therefore, the organization needs to publicize to educate users and create understanding of the new technology. However, the situation is quite the opposite, as the public has submitted numerous complaints regarding public relations. This is due to the fact that a significant number of road users are unaware of the information, which has led to problems of fines that are ten times the toll fee and consumer complaints.
This research article aims to analyze the communication strategies employed in managing the crisis situation related to M-Flow membership and fines, focusing on their peculiarities. Effective communication and problem resolution rely on several key strategies. Is it appropriate for public relations purposes, and can it foster positive relationships with drivers?
