Abstract

Mixed methods research (MMR) designs are the philosophical concepts or fundamental concepts which influenced the entire of the research process. The design is an action plan that connected a philosophical idea to specify research methods. The integration of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis in these designs effectively facilitates triangulation which offers a fuller account of the research problem. In the field of applied linguistics, English language teaching, professional development for English language teachers and English instructional supervision, there will have mixed methods research to apply in the study. This academic article offers mixed methods conceptual implications for relevant English language teachers, supervisors and educators in similar contexts.
