Improving Warehouse Management Efficiency by Applying Digital Technology: A Case Study of Dohome Co., Ltd. (Bangbuathong Branch)

Abstract

          This research aimed to 1) study the efficiency of warehouse management and the application of digital technology, and 2) study the improvement of warehouse management efficiency through the application of digital technology at Dohome Co., Ltd. (Bangbuathong Branch). The Sample in this study consisted of 97 warehouse employees. Simple random sampling was used to collect data using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using means, standard deviations, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the efficiency of warehouse management and the application of digital technology was at a high level. The application of digital technology can increase warehouse management efficiency by 79.20 percent, namely 1) cloud computing, 2) the Internet of Things, 3) the use of robots, and 4) augmented reality. The results indicate that entrepreneurs should manage their warehouses by applying digital technology to increase the accuracy of product tracking, inventory management, reduce costs, and transport goods to reduce errors, speed up operations, and improve decision-making. Furthermore, personnel should be trained to develop technology skills, and the use of cloud systems to store data securely and accessible anywhere, along with continuous process improvement, which will contribute to the efficiency of warehouse management.
