Public Participation in Cultural Tourism Development of Ban Ron Thong Community, Ron Thong Sub-district, Satuek District, Buriram Province

Abstract

         The purpose of this research is 1) To study people's participation in the development of cultural tourism of Ban Ron Thong community, Ron Thong sub-district, Satuk district, Buriram province. 2) To propose a guideline for people's participation in the development of cultural tourism of Ban Ron Thong community, Ron Thong Sub-district, Satuk District, Buriram Province. This research was a qualitative research using a specific interview as a tool for data collection. including observation and note taking Let's summarize the research results. The researcher selected the target groups: (1) Religious Leaders (2) Community Leaders (3) People with Stakeholders in Community Cultural Tourism Development, totaling 12 people.

          The results of the research were as follows: 1) People's participation in community cultural tourism development (1) Participation in decision-making People participate in decision-making on the use of community resources with local agencies. for the development of cultural tourism of the community (2) participation in the operation People in the community have a community to participate in planning and coordinating with local agencies on a regular basis. (3) Participation in benefits people in the community Participate in community tourism development and jointly receive mutual benefits. (4) Participation in the evaluation. people in the community Get involved with the local department. in follow-up evaluation Community cultural tourism development 2) Guidelines for public participation in community cultural tourism development (1) Participation in decision-making People should pay attention continue to participate Suggest and exchange opinions. and make decisions together with local departments To develop community tourism. (2) Participation in the operation. People in the community should be involved in the planning and selection of operators or co-operators. Because the people in the community understand and know the problems of the community very well. (3) Participation in benefits People should take part in making suggestions and exchanging useful ideas for the development of community tourism. and share the benefits from joint development. (4) Participation in the evaluation. People should jointly inspect and follow up on the results of cultural tourism development of the community with local agencies regularly.
