School Administration for Promoting Life and Career Skills of Students in Opportunity Expansion Schools Under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research aimed to : 1) examine the current and desirable , conditions and priority  of  needs  related to the school administration for promoting life and career skills among students in opportunity expansion schools; 2) examine the school administration guidelines to enhance students' life and career skills; and 3) evaluate the effectiveness of these guidelines in opportunity expansion schools under the Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The study focused on 79 opportunity expansion schools, with a total of 316 respondents. The research instruments included questionnaires assessing the current and desirable conditions, as well as a rating scale to evaluate the proposed school administration guidelines. In-depth interviews were conducted with 12 experts using an in – depth interviwe  to assess the appropriateness, and feasibility of the guidelines. Additionally, 40 key stakeholders participated in the evaluation process. Data analysis was performed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Priority Needs Index (PNImodified), with results presented in tables and content  analysis.

The findings revealed that:

1. The current and desirable conditions of school administration were rated highly, with the most significant Priority Needs Index (PNImodified) identified  : social and cross-cultural learning skills.
2. A total of 19 school administration guidelines were identified to promote life and career skills among students.
3. The evaluation of these guidelines demonstrated their high suitability and feasibility for implementation
