Environmental Conflict Management (Conflict Mapping) : A case study of PM2.5 Dust in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai

Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative research are 1) to study data and analyze conflict situations in the dimensions of natural resources and the environment in order to design and create a database storage system and survey conflict map data in a systematic and standardized manner. Able to analyze conflict situations in a timely manner. 2) To explain the PM2.5 dust crisis in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces. 3) To bring the PM2.5 dust conflict database to be developed into an electronic map format. and the Violence -Conflict Early Warning System Database. There is a warning system for monitoring conflict situations for Thai society. The research target groups are public sectors, private sectors, civil society and peoples

The results of the research found that 1) A study of the data and analysis of conflicts over PM2.5 dust found that it is a problem with management measures both inside and outside the country. 2) The phenomena of the PM2.5 dust crisis in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai have different management measures. 3) Can display results to bring the PM2.5 dust conflict database to be developed into an electronic map format. and the Violence -Conflict Early Warning System Database has a system. The research recommendation that database should be cooperated with public sectors  and civil sectors.
