    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat cordially invites scholars, researchers, faculty members, and graduate students to submit high-quality research articles and academic articles for consideration for publication in Volume 4, Issue 1 (January–April 2026).

    Manuscript submissions are open from now until the issue is complete.

    Aims of the Journal

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat is an interdisciplinary academic journal dedicated to disseminating high-quality research and academic articles in the following areas:

    • Studies of humanity and identity in local and contemporary social contexts

    • Studies of society, community, and social change

    • Lifelong learning and human capacity development

    • Integrated knowledge for sustainable community and local development

    The journal aims to support the mission of Surindra Rajabhat University as a “University for Local Development” and to promote the linkage between academic knowledge and contemporary social contexts at both national and international levels.

    Scope of the Journal

    The journal welcomes manuscripts in the following areas:

    • Humanity and identity in local and contemporary social contexts

    • Society, community, and social change

    • Lifelong learning and human capacity development

    • Integrated knowledge for sustainable community and local development

    Out-of-Scope Areas

    To ensure a clear scope and to avoid overlap with specialized journals, the journal does not consider manuscripts in the following fields:

    • Conservation-based arts and culture, local wisdom, and cultural heritage

    • Political science, politics, governance, and public policy

    • Law

    • Management and business administration

    • Experimental science and technology

    Types of Articles

    • Research Articles

    • Academic Articles

    Manuscripts are accepted in both Thai and English.

    Peer Review Process

    All submitted manuscripts are evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers under a Double-Blind Peer Review system.
    The editorial board reserves the right to decline manuscripts that do not comply with the journal’s submission guidelines.

    Publication Fees (No Fast Track)

    • Thai manuscripts: 3,500 THB per article

    • English manuscripts: 4,500 THB per article

    Note: Publication fees are administrative charges of the journal and are non-refundable in cases where manuscripts are rejected.

    Manuscript Submission

    Authors may submit manuscripts via the ThaiJo online system, along with the required supporting documents as specified by the journal.
    Payment of publication fees will be requested after the manuscript has passed the initial editorial screening.

    Additional Note (For Manuscripts Already in Process)

    Manuscripts that were submitted to the journal system and are currently under the review process prior to the issuance of this announcement will continue to be reviewed, evaluated, and managed in accordance with the journal’s previous terms, criteria, and editorial policies.

    This adjustment will not affect the rights, status, or academic consideration of such manuscripts in any manner.

    Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University

    In order to align with the mission of Surindra Rajabhat University as a “University for Local Development,” and to enhance the academic quality of the journal in accordance with the standards of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) and the academic performance evaluation criteria of the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education (OCSCHE), as well as to accommodate advances in knowledge and innovation for local development in the digital era, the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University hereby announces revisions to its Aims and Scope and publication schedule to ensure clarity, alignment with quality development directions, and support for the creation of new knowledge in relevant fields.

    This policy shall be effective for manuscripts submitted for publication starting from Volume 4, Issue 1 (B.E. 2569 | A.D. 2026) onward.

    Aims

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University is an interdisciplinary academic journal that aims to disseminate high-quality research articles and academic papers in the fields of human studies and identity in local and contemporary social contexts; social, community, and societal change studies; lifelong learning and human capacity development; as well as integrated knowledge for sustainable community and local development.

    The journal emphasizes the creation and dissemination of rigorous scholarly knowledge alongside its practical application for development at the community, local, and societal levels. It supports the mission of Surindra Rajabhat University as a “University for Local Development” and promotes the linkage between academic knowledge and contemporary social contexts at both national and international levels.

    Scope

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University welcomes research articles and academic articles within the following scopes:

    1. Human Studies and Identity in Local and Contemporary Social Contexts

    This area covers studies on humans, identity, existence, and adaptation within local contexts, Thai society, and contemporary societies, with an emphasis on conceptual, theoretical, and academic framework analysis.

    2. Social, Community, and Societal Change Studies

    This area includes studies on social and community dynamics, social change, social relationships, social structures and processes, as well as contemporary social issues that affect community and societal development.

    3. Lifelong Learning and Human Capacity Development

    This area encompasses studies on lifelong learning, learning management in diverse contexts, human capacity development, place-based learning, community-based learning, and learning innovations that promote human and social development.

    4. Integrated Knowledge for Sustainable Community and Local Development

    This area includes interdisciplinary research and academic articles that integrate knowledge from relevant disciplines to propose development approaches, problem-solving strategies, and sustainable enhancement of community and local quality of life.

    Exclusions

    To maintain a clear scope and avoid overlap with other specialized journals, the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University does not accept manuscripts in the following areas:

    • Conservation-oriented arts and culture, local wisdom, and cultural heritage

    • Political science, politics, governance, and public policy

    • Law

    • Management and business administration

    • Experimental science and technology

    Publication Schedule

    The journal is published three issues per year:

    • Issue 1: January–April

    • Issue 2: May–August

    • Issue 3: September–December

    Each issue publishes approximately 20–30 articles, effective from B.E. 2569 (A.D. 2026) onward.

    Types of Articles

    The journal accepts two types of manuscripts:

    • Research Articles

    • Academic Articles

    Submissions may be written in Thai or English.

    Manuscript Review and Publication Conditions

    Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two qualified peer reviewers. For manuscripts submitted by external authors, reviews are conducted by one internal and one external reviewer, or by at least two external reviewers. Manuscripts submitted by internal authors are reviewed exclusively by external reviewers from diverse institutions with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s field. All manuscripts must be approved by the editorial board prior to publication.

    The journal employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which neither the reviewers nor the authors are aware of each other’s identities. The editorial board reserves the right not to proceed with manuscript consideration until revisions are completed in accordance with journal guidelines.

    Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere. If figures or tables from previously published works are used, authors must obtain permission from the copyright holders and submit written consent to the editorial board prior to publication. Opinions and views expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board.

    Announcement: Change in Article Pagination to the Article ID (e-Location ID) System and Revision of the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Format

    Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University has a policy to continuously improve its journal management and publication system in accordance with nationally and internationally recognized standards. The journal adheres to the evaluation criteria of the Thai Citation Index (TCI) in conjunction with best practices of international academic databases, with the aim of enhancing quality, credibility, and citation capability through a systematic, transparent, and verifiable publication process.

    To comply with these standards, starting from B.E. 2569 (A.D. 2026) onward, all articles published in the journal will adopt the Article ID (e-Location ID) system in place of continuous page numbering for the online journal format. In addition, all published articles will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) under the Crossref system. The Article ID serves as a unique identifier for each article and is formatted as eX.

    The journal applies the following DOI Prefix:
    10.65205/jasrru

    The DOI Suffix is structured in alignment with the Article ID system, with the standard DOI display format as follows:
    https://doi.org/10.65205/jasrru.YYYY.eX

    The components are defined as:

    • YYYY = Year of publication (A.D.)

    • e = electronic article (international standard)

    • X = Article number (corresponding to the Submission ID in the ThaiJo system)

    The implementation of the Article ID (e-Location ID) system aims to ensure accurate, clear, and standardized article identification, citation, and retrieval across all journal issues. This approach aligns with digital-era academic publishing practices and online and open-access journal dissemination.

    Articles published prior to the implementation of this change will continue to use the previous DOI format, which remains valid under Crossref standards and can be cited as usual without any impact on the academic status or value of the articles.

    This transition to the Article ID system represents an important step in modernizing the journal’s management and publication processes to better align with contemporary digital academic publishing. It is intended to enhance scholarly use, international citation, and appropriate recognition of publications for academic position evaluation in accordance with relevant criteria.

    Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat University establishes this Quality Article Policy to enhance the academic standard of published articles in alignment with the mission of Surindra Rajabhat University as a “University for Local Development.” This policy is formulated in accordance with the evaluation criteria of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) and the academic performance assessment guidelines of the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education (OCSCHE), as well as internationally accepted academic publishing standards.

    1. Scope of Publication

    A quality article refers to scholarly work that demonstrates originality, academic significance, methodological rigor, and critical discussion. Articles must align with the journal’s scope and contribute meaningful knowledge applicable to community, local, and societal development.

    1. Quality Criteria for Articles

    Articles submitted for publication must meet the following standards:

    • Clearly defined research problems and sound conceptual frameworks
    • Appropriate and rigorous research methodology
    • Accurate and systematic data analysis
    • In-depth discussion linking findings to relevant theories and previous studies
    • Proper citation and referencing strictly following APA 7th edition
    • At least 50% of references published within the last five years
    • Similarity index not exceeding 20% and full compliance with research ethics
    1. Peer Review Process

    The journal employs a Double-Blind Peer Review system. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two qualified reviewers from diverse institutions. The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet quality standards or fall outside the journal’s scope.

    1. Author Development Policy

    The journal supports author development by providing clear submission guidelines, APA 7 templates, academic writing workshops, and encouraging local- and community-based research to strengthen scholarly contributions.

    As the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat continues to accept research and academic articles for consideration for publication in the ThaiJo system, the editorial team has a policy to review and improve the journal's management structure, quality article policy, review criteria, and journal scope (Aims & Scope) to ensure clarity and compliance with the standards set by:

    International Guidelines for Publication Ethics (COPE)

    To ensure the effectiveness of these improvements, the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat is temporarily closing its article submissions from now until the next round of submissions is announced in accordance with the revised Policy and Scope 2026.

    Articles currently under review will continue to be processed according to the journal's normal procedures and will not be affected by the peer-review process.

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat would like to thank all authors, researchers, faculty, and readers for their continued support of the journal.     วารสารราชภัฏสุรินทร์วิชาการ กำหนดเผยแพร่ปีละ 6 ฉบับ คือ ฉบับที่ 1 (มกราคม-กุมภาพันธ์) ฉบับที่ 2 (มีนาคม-เมษายน) ฉบับที่ 3 (พฤษภาคม-มิถุนายน) ฉบับที่ 4 (กรกฎาคม-สิงหาคม) ฉบับที่ 5 (กันยายน-ตุลาคม) และฉบับที่ 6 (พฤศจิกายน–ธันวาคม)

    วารสารจะตีพิมพ์บทความ 12 - 15 บทความ ต่อฉบับ โดยจะเริ่มตั้งแต่ปี 2568 เป็นต้นไป

  • Announcement of the publication fees and the instructions of the article processing charges (APCs) payment steps

     Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat announce the publication fees are as follows:
    Research articles/academic articles in Thai: 3,500 THB per article
    Research articles/academic articles in English: 4,500 THB per article
    (The article publication fees will be charged for journals submitted to the system from Vol. 3 No. 2 (March 2025) onwards.

    Instructions of the Payment Process for the Publication Fee of the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat
    1. Authors are requested to submit document files via the ThaiJo system, including:
    1.1 Research articles/academic articles in Word format (1 file)
    1.2 Article submission form (1 file)
    For detailed instructions on submitting these documents, please refer to the Instructions for Authors.
    2. Initial Review and Notification
    Once the document files are complete, the editorial team will conduct an initial review of the article. If the article meets the journal's requirements and passes the initial review, the journal will notify you to pay the publication fee before the article undergoes further quality assessment.
    3. Payment Process
    The publication fee must be transferred via a bank account. Payment instructions and details will be provided by the journal staff. The author will receive payment instructions directly from the journal.

    After paying the fee, please send proof of payment to the journal system. Include the following information in your email:
    1) Author's name and surname
    2) Article title
    3) Transfer slip

    Note: All journal publication fees are non-refundable operating fees. If your article is not accepted for publication in the Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat after review by three qualified individuals, the publication fee will not be refunded.

    Surindra Rajabhat University announces the implementation of the University's Regulations on Academic Journal Management for 2024, with details as follows: Click.

    The Journal of Academic Surindra Rajabhat is included in the annexe of the University's Regulations on Academic Journal Management for 2024. The journal will proceed with the quality journal and call for a publication fee under these regulations starting in 2025 onward.
