Abstract

This academic article aims to propose guidelines for developing a model and enhancing the evaluation of doctoral teacher education programs by applying multiple intelligences assessment based on Tyler’s concept objective-centered curriculum evaluation framework with the theory of multiple intelligences. Tyler’sapproach emphasizes clearly defined educational objectives as the foundation for curriculum design and evaluation, while the multiple intelligences perspective highlights the diversity of learners’ abilities and learning expressions. The article presents key concepts related to curriculum evaluation, including the formulation of objectives, learning outcomes, learning experiences, and assessment processes aligned with expected learning behaviors. The integration of these two perspectives elevates curriculum evaluation from a traditional outcome-focused approach to a comprehensive and holistic assessment that captures learners’ knowledge, skills, cognitive processes, and professional attributes. The article argues that a systematic evaluation framework grounded in Tyler’s rationale, combined with the flexibility of multiple intelligences assessment, can effectively support the holistic development of doctoral students in teacher education. Moreover, such an integrated approach serves as a strategic mechanism for curriculum improvement, ensuring quality, relevance, and sustainability in response to lifelong learning and the challenges of 21st-century education
