Abstract
The research study on the concept of "patiṭṭhā" as found in the Theravada Buddhist scriptures revealed that the meaning of "patiṭṭhā" in these scriptures refers to a suitable place, an appropriate location for establishing a residence. It is a place that facilitates comfortable living and the successful completion of various activities. Additionally, it is an environment that is not harmful to physical and mental health, and it is a place that can foster prosperity and progress for those who reside in it.
