How To Create New Words in Thai Language

Abstract

Thai is a language with a diverse system of creating new words to respond to changes in society, culture, and technology. This article aims to study the methods of creating new words in Thai, referencing key linguistic concepts such as compounding, derivation, borrowing, and other word formation processes. The study found that creating new words plays an important role in language development and reflects changes in Thai society.
