The Evolution of Thai Script: From the Past to The Present

Abstract

The Thai script is a writing system that has evolved continuously from the past to the present. This article studies the evolution of the Thai script by examining historical evidence, the influence of foreign scripts, and the changes in the form of the script over different eras. The study's results indicate that the Thai script was influenced by the Khmer script and developed according to the context of Thai society. The changes in the Thai script also reflect cultural advancement and the adaptation of the language to respond to modern technology and communication.
