Abstract

This study aims to develop creative writing exercises for sixth-grade elementary students and evaluate the effectiveness of the developed exercises by using a design process that considers systematic learning principles and writing skill development.
The research consists of three main steps: (1) studying the basic information about students' creative writing skills, including guidelines and principles for developing exercises; (2) designing and developing writing exercises based on linguistic principles, learning psychology, and creativity concepts; and (3) testing and evaluating the exercises with a sample group of sixth-grade students to assess their effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
The research findings indicate that the developed creative writing exercises can significantly promote students' creativity and improve their writing skills. Students have become more capable of using language to express their thoughts and imagination. Additionally, the exercises help increase motivation for writing and build confidence in using the Thai language effectively.
