Abstract
The academic article titled “Educational Administration through the Principles of Good Governance for School Administrators in the New Normal Era” presents an overarching perspective on approaches for developing school administrators in alignment with contemporary social and educational dynamics. This period of rapid and multidimensional transformation underscores the crucial role of administrators as professional leaders who influence the enhancement of teachers’ competencies, personnel development, and organizational management systems. The primary objective of the study is to articulate conceptual foundations and practical guidelines for applying good governance principles as a guiding framework in school administration, thereby strengthening ethics, transparency, accountability, and moral responsibility key attributes of effective management in the new normal context.
The article proposes a systematic framework for integrating good governance across four core administrative domains. These include: (1) budget administration grounded in transparency and auditability; (2) personnel administration guided by the rule of law, equity, and fairness; (3) academic administration that promotes stakeholder participation to improve learning outcomes; and (4) general administration focused on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness to the needs of service recipients within the school community.
Findings from the analysis highlight that the application of good governance principles across these four domains significantly contributes to strengthening the multidimensional leadership capacity of school administrators. Such practices enhance strategic clarity, promote alignment with development goals, and lead to improved staff competencies. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that governance-based administration fosters effective organizational performance and supports long-term, sustainable school development.
