Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the efficiency of the dual tray production process Pre and Post Applying ECRS, involving normal dual trays and green dual trays. The research began with a study of the existing dual tray production process. A cause and effect diagram was taken to find out the root cause, before ECRS was applied to improve the work process and to create equipment - namely clamping and tables. The results show that the number of steps required for the production
of normal dual trays was reduced from 12 to 9, and for the green dual trays it was a reduction from 14 to 10 steps. The standard production time for normal dual trays was reduced from 77.79 seconds per piece to 62.18 seconds per piece - a 20.07 percent saving. The standard production time for green dual trays was reduced from 84.87 seconds per piece to 66.86 seconds per piece - a 21.22 percent saving. The standard output of normal dual trays increased from 347 pieces per day to 434 pieces per day - a 25.07percent increase. The standard output of green dual tray increased from 318 pieces per day to 403 pieces per day - a 26.73 percent increase.
