Abstract
This academic article aims to study Value concepts and principles of Buddhism that appear in the tradition of offering Jong-para in Mae Hong Son province. The results of the study found that: The tradition of offering Jong-para is a tradition that has many values in terms of religion, society and culture. Religious values, help in maintaining and passing on Buddhism to remain in society. and strengthening the relationship between individuals and Buddhism. The principles of Buddhism that appear in the tradition of offering Jong-para include giving alms, keeping the precepts, and praying. They promote peace of mind and develop wisdom. which is an important principle in Buddhism. Show gratitude to Buddhism and the monks. Cultivate morality, build unity, build relationships in the community. and do activities together. Making merit and practicing Dhamma help participants have a peaceful mind and develop spirituality such as generosity, giving and sharing. Supporting the community economy helps promote trade in the community and generate income from tourism. Traditional and cultural tourism can attract tourists and generate income for the community. Promoting local culture helps promote and preserve local culture. Let the new generation get to know and continue cultural traditions.
