Abstract
Multidisciplinary Research and Social Innovation, Volume 1, Issue 3 (September–December 2025), is the inaugural issue of the journal and comprises five research articles and two academic articles that address a broad spectrum of topics related to education, engineering, technology, and innovation for sustainable social development. The contributions in this issue reflect contemporary movements and emerging trends in the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge, particularly in relation to learning across multiple dimensions. The featured articles encompass topics such as learning resources and 21st-century educational management, educational equity and sustainable development, initiative and leadership in vocational student development, the design of learning packages on part making with machine tools for vocational certificate students, the development of an e-book on electrical instruments and measurements for industrial students, the enhancement of science learning through constructivist pedagogy, and the promotion of professionalism to empower novice teachers. In addition, the multidisciplinary articles in the area of technology and innovation focus on advanced engineering applications, including the design of an FPA-based optimal I–PD controller aimed at reducing the set-point kick phenomenon in DC motor speed control systems.
