Development of a Basic Knowledge Training Course on Safety in Industrial Plants for Students in the Industrial Teaching Profession

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) develop a basic knowledge training course on safety in industrial plants for pre-service teachers, 2) compare the knowledge and understanding of basic knowledge on safety in plants, and 3) study the satisfaction of pre-service teachers towards a basic knowledge training course on safety in plants for pre-service teachers. The sample group consisted of 12 students in the mechanical engineering program, Faculty of Industrial Education, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, 2nd semester, academic year 2023 number 1 group obtained from simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling) by lottery method using the group as a random unit. The research instruments consisted of a basic knowledge training course on safety in industrial plants, a basic knowledge test and a satisfaction assessment form. Statistics used in data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The research results found that 1) The training course on basic knowledge about safety in industrial plants for student industrial teachers has 5 main components: (1) principles and reasons, (2) objectives, (3) content structure, (4) training activities, and (5) measurement and evaluation, through the assessment of quality and suitability by experts at a high level, 2) The comparison of knowledge and understanding after training was significantly higher than before training at the .05 level and 3) The satisfaction of students with the basic knowledge training course on safety in industrial plants was at the highest level
